Neverness to Everness (NTE) Version 1.4, “For Whom the Verses Mourn,” launches on September 30, 2026. Publisher Perfect World Games and developer Hotta Studio announced the update after the Version 1.4 preview program on September 16. It adds two new characters, two new areas and events scheduled until November 11.

New characters and banner schedule

The update is split into two phases:

  • Blackbird is presented as a Psyche-type main DPS.
  • Akane Rin is presented as a Lakshana-type damage dealer who fights with her guitar.

The matching Arc Research programs follow the same calendar: Roostfeather Special and Nocturne Special until October 21, then Celestial Special from October 21 to November 11.

Two new areas: St. Arbor and Pukaland

  • St. Arbor is the setting of the new main story episode.
  • Pukaland, the funfair island that was visible but closed until now, becomes part of Hethereau. The Pukaland Travelogue event runs across the whole update, from September 30 to November 11.

Story: “The Witch” and “To Us, Back Then”

Version 1.4 continues the main story with a new episode, “The Witch,” and adds a spinoff storyline, “To Us, Back Then.” NexaRig does not cover story outcomes before release; this article contains no spoilers beyond the announced titles and settings.
